Commissioned by Ivan the Terrible in 1555, St. Basil's Cathedral is one of the more beautiful structures in Moscow. Built to resemble a bonfire rising into the sky, it is a striking example of Russian architecture. Phil has captured several of the spires at nighttime, making their striking colors even more vibrant.
