VIDEO CLIPS

MORE VIDEOS COMING SOON!

Sneak Preview Video clips from Phil Yeh's documentary film "Planet Literacy," over 20 years in the works, showing the state of literacy in countries around the globe. Phil Yeh has traveled the world since 1985 on the Winged Tiger World Tour, promoting reading and all the arts to young people everywhere.
Phil's characters: Theo the Dinosaur, and his friends Dewey, Dinah and Dallas, have survived from the pleistocene age, because they learned to read books, whereby they were able to build a spaceship capable of time travel. They have traveled to our own time, to tell us about the importance of reading and the arts for survival. The dinosaurs are writing their slogan "Read, Avoid Extinction" on murals all over the world.

From original footage shot by film maker Don Campbell, these new clips are being edited -among others- by Richard Dinges, one of the founding members of Cartoonists Across America, plus a talented film maker, writer, actor and musician living in Maryland.

Planet Literacy interviews.
The Planet Literacy documentary continues as founder Phil Yeh and video guru/CAA VP Rich Dinges do a series of interviews with actress Janet Carroll, French comic book master Moebius, and Comic Relief's vice-president Dennis Albaugh who connects literacy with homelessness. George Gladir, ARCHIE comics veteran writer and the creator of Sabrina the Teenage Witch also appears with Phil Yeh and RC Williams and there is a really nice piece with Natalie Merchant on how literacy is connected with her music.
